TRPG:Side (Mabui)

In Mabui, a Side is a distinct facet of reality. Sides are similar to the "planes" of many fantasy settings, but are overlaid upon one another rather than being separate locations to which one might travel.

By far the most significant Sides are the physical and the astral. The Physical Side contains ordinary matter and energy, while the Astral Side is a mostly empty realm in which mortal psyches or souls exist. Mazoku and ryuuzoku are native to the Astral Side; their physical bodies are mere projections.

Most Shamanistic magic operates on the Physical Side, while other magic tends to operate on the Astral.
