Other Clockwork Guild Members & Servants
Dudley Positronic Pocretta
A senior servant hired to manage the other Clockwork Guild servants in Sarune and supervise the day-to-day activities of the guild hall. Has demonstrated a number of useful skills, including knowledge of architecture.
OOC trivia: his name is derived from Tatanya Positronic Banana, from the comic Irritability, and "Attercop" spelled backwards.
Wolcott Bloomberg
A young nobleman known for his... unique perspective and industriousness. Joined the Clockwork Guild after Autruche spoke with his aunt.
OOC trivia: named after the engineer Alfred Wolcott Gibbs.
Adeline
A cheerful maid ninja who pretended to be a former employee of a Scarlet Seeker so she'd be hired by the Clockwork Guild. Extremely good at disguises and possesses many magic items.
Steve
An assistant mechanic whose consciousness was transferred into a mini-spider and, thereby, to the control of Stevarune Unit 9001.
Magic Academy
Melios
A mage referenced by the headmaster as the one who'd contact the Clockwork Guild about the response from their headquarters.
Headmaster
An elderly man who leads the academy. First encountered when he worked out the deal for the guild hall with Jonathan; later, he helped with the investigation of the strange incidents with the Duke, researching a spell to detect the "magic black hole" posited at the brainstorming session.
Graath Nobility
Duke Aubert
The governor of Sarune. Full name Jean-Louis Claude Gerard Aubert. 55 years old, somewhat portly, and formerly unconscious due to a suspicious and inexplicable illness. During a feast, he suddenly appeared at the head of the table with memories corresponding to the time he appeared to be ill.
Grégoire Aubert
The elder of Duke Aubert's children and heir apparent. Appeared competent in combat during the crow raid on the Duke's room. Often gets called "Gregoire" because é is annoying to type.
Fleur Aubert
Duke Aubert's younger child. Very quiet. A skilled necromancer who initially aided her father due to her fatalistic philosophy, but later switched sides.
Sir Varro
A semi-retired knight living in Sarune. Appeared to be an acquaintance of Autruche's, and has occasionally passed along information on political happenings.
Scarlet Seekers
Sir Invidius
An elf who was the Chief Battlemage of the Scarlet Seekers. Captured by the Clockwork Guild during an attack on their headquarters, and was interrogated, but was lost when a bolt of lightning struck his room after Wolcott got a list of members out of him.
Uifel Llordril
An elf who attacked Jonathan and Victor as a "low-ranking toady" of the Scarlet Seekers, but defected after being captured. He seemed to get along well with Wolcott. Facts such as his name, his obsession with proper grammar, his purported knowledge of Elven Game Theory, and even his very existence are frequently forgotten.
Miscellaneous
Alfred Harrison
A Sarune investigator affiliated with the third police division, last seen investigating a series of suspicious murders.
Irotas
A Migurian magical creature or construct formed out of the water in a pool. Irotas was apparently designed to acquire and preserve vast stores of knowledge, and claimed to be over 80,000 years old. The party agreed to provide it with books and similar materials in exchange for its answering questions. Later, it turned out to be evil, and it was evaporated with Albireo Fist and then eliminated completely with the Bottled Anti-Pond.
OOC Trivia: its name is 悟り (satori), a term with a meaning similar to "enlightenment", spelled backwards.
The Migurians
An ancient civilization that left behind the ruins in the deep caverns under Sarune. Irotas suggested that the ruins were specifically the city of Kita, ruled by the great Wanchin.
OOC trivia: Named after the lost Migu Migu tribe of magicians in the early 90's manga and anime "Mahoujin Guru Guru".
